A guitar teacher from Dorset has wowed the judges on America’s Got Talent and earned a spot in the live shows. John Wines, a 59-year-old teaching at The Bourne Academy in Bournemouth, decided to audition to inspire one of his nervous students.

“I’m overjoyed! I never thought I would have this opportunity,” said Wines. “I’m doing things I could never have dreamed of.”

Wines’ original audition featured the legendary Queen anthem “We Will Rock You,” which drew the attention of Simon Cowell and the other judges. He is currently preparing for the competition’s second round, which will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

Wines discovered the America’s Got Talent application after speaking with his 16-year-old student, Maya, who was nervous about an impending show. Empathizing with Maya’s fear, he resolved to take the plunge himself.

“I wanted to show her that even teachers get nervous sometimes,” Wines told me. “I put myself in her shoes and decided to face my own fears.”

Despite almost missing his audition invitation, which ended up in his junk folder, Wines was fortunate to find it just in time. Now, he is ready to give it his all in the live shows.

A mom with over 800 tattoos has covered up her ink and looks unrecognizable.

Melissa Sloan is a self-proclaimed tattoo addict. This British mom has over 800 inkings – many of them on her face.

But she’s covered up her facial tattoos for a viral photograph, and she looks totally different…

As per the Daily Star, Sloan claims she’s spent around 10 years working on her extreme look.

She says she gets around three inkings a week, either at home or in her van.

This is even though five of her seven children reportedly no longer have contact with her as a result of her obsessive body modification.

However, her youngest children who still live with her are huge fans of her look.

But Sloan’s extreme look has come at a price, and she’s previously revealed she’s struggling to find a job.

According to the Daily Star, the 46-year-old explains: “I can’t get a job. They won’t have me. I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they won’t have me because of my tattoos.

“The first job I had was cleaning ages ago, cleaning toilets. People have said I have never had a job in my life, I have had one once and it didn’t last long. But, if someone offered me a job tomorrow I would go and work – I would take that offer.”

She also tells the Daily Star: “No Christmas parties and when I go to my child’s school I don’t get invited. They said once for me to go to the back garden and look through the glass window.”

Sloan covered up her tattoos for a photograph, and her children and dogs were not happy with her new look.

In her first escapade into tattoo covering, she explained in an interview with the Daily Star: “It took me ages. I bought one [foundation] for £3 and thought I’d try it that way.

“I put it on for about half an hour and when I went downstairs the kids freaked out because they didn’t like it.

“And my partner looked twice he said ‘No, it doesn’t suit you. Get your tattoos back, it looks weird’. They burst out crying and even my dog looked twice.

“She didn’t like me that way, my youngest wanted me back as I was. It scared her.”

Sloan claims she wanted a challenge, yet her lack of tattoos actually ended up ‘scaring’ her kids! She also claims it took her ’24 hours’ to remove the long-lasting and thick foundation.

She adds: “These trolls say to me my kids are scared but they are scared of me with my foundation on. People don’t realise that they are small-minded.”

In spite of the negative reactions to her initial transformation, Sloan decided to try out the look again – but this time, she kept her kids at bay to avoid frightening them.

“They said ‘Go back to your craziness mom’, none of them spoke to me. It didn’t go well. It wasn’t the same, it’s like they were looking at a different person, a stranger,” she tells the Daily Star in a new interview.

Sloan explains: “When it came off again, they were back to normal – it should have been the other way round.”

“I’ve got proper tattoo foundation now. I had to put it on thick, I used half a tub. It was like thick cement, really thick.”

Sloan’s more natural look went down well with viewers, who ‘said I look better with makeup’.

However, the mom won’t be convinced.

“It’s my life at the end of the day, I can just swap and change,” she says. “People said I looked beautiful the way I was before – but I like it crazy.”

Having neglected his mother Diana for years, Adam returns home to find their house destroyed and his mother living in a nursing home. He realizes the depth of his neglect and vows to take care of her from now on.

Ethan Adams from South Shields, England, was described by his parents as a mischievous little boy with a big heart. One day the young boy woke up and complained to his parents about a toothache.

Ethan’s parents understandably took him to a dentist. The young boy was upset at the toothache. His mother, Tracey, said that he “became upset” because he thought it was his fault as he had not brushed his teeth.

At the dentist, they concluded Ethan had some swelling in his teeth, probably caused by a tooth infection. But the swelling did not go down, in realtity it began to grow.

When nothing seemed to work, and the young boy’s swelling grew worse and worse, his parents rushed their upset child to a hospital. It was there they learned the devastating news; he had tumors on denhis brain and spine.

What was thought to be a tooth infection turned out to be Rhabdomyosarcoma – a rare form of canc3r. The canc3r is so rare that it only affects about 55 children in the UK every year.

The first warning signs of the diagnosis are swelling or lumps that can appear to grow on the body.

“Our world fell apart,” Ethan’s father, Mark said in an interview.

Ethan’s cancer was found to have spread to his lungs and his bone marrow. Doctors decided to start an aggressive treatment plan involving radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

But after nine months of being in treatment, Ethan passed away aged 9.

After he passed away, his parents were incredibly upset and called the treatment methods that had been used for his son as “embarrassing” and outdated. The grieving parents started a fundraiser in Ethan’s name to help fund research.

Ethan’s father, described the treatment methods as “embarrassing” and said they are extremely outdated. They set a goal of $62,000, out of which about half has already been achieved.

“We don’t want other families to have to go through what we’ve had to go through, it’s terrible,” Ethan’s family says.

After Ethan’s passing, the issue of financing research on childhood cancer has come up in the parliament as well, which is a major step towards making sure more funds are appropriated to areas like this.

Karen got the role and said she was pretty scared of what was to come, but Landon always tried to make everyone laugh and feel good on set. There was a lot of pressure on him. Karen decided that her role should be based on her mother’s life experience, and this helped her a lot.
